Recently, Boise State University put together a video on the use of our solution and with that shared some interesting perspectives that service desks of all sizes can easily appreciate. I want to thank Mark Fitzgerald and his team for the professional work they did and I appreciate the positive things they said regarding our solution and about our employees that support his team’s daily efforts.
There are a few key points in the video that I also wanted to expand on. At the beginning of the video, the Boise State team discusses how they utilized other solutions before discovering RightAnswers. In fact, about 85% of our current customer-base used another product before selecting ours. Unfortunately, that percentage is probably going to remain the same as most organizations have already tried some form of knowledge management or self-service in the past.
The second point that hit me is that, although our solution is used by hundreds of companies and serves more than four million end users, in many circles we are known as the “Knowledge-Pak content company.” As you can see from the video, we are that AND so much more. Not only do we offer “pre-packaged” content, but we also provide a framework and client success services to get our customers up-and-running in order to make the most of their knowledge. I know the word is getting out and this video will surely help us.
Finally, I loved the throw down challenge that Peter Jurhs poses around the 1:52 minute mark. It speaks volumes of how Boise State – as well as our other clients – have confidence in our solution providing the “right answer.” It exudes a level of assurance that if the answer is somewhere to be found, then you will be able to find it. Even with all the things that connect each of us together, I never thought that we would have such a close tie to Bobby Flay and his show. The next time he does a throw down on TV, perhaps it will make you think about this video. Thanks again to the Service Desk Team at Boise State – Go Broncos Go!
